Grimdark, fantasy, magic school
Aretuza will be a saga of events set within the universe of Geralt of Rivia, focused on the magical society of The Witcher. Specifically, it takes place in the sorceresses' school that shares its name.
Participants will portray adepts of the art of chaos from both Aretuza and Ban Ard, and will be able to play the same character across multiple episodes.
Aretuza: Episode 0 takes place around year 1052, shortly after the creation of the Chapter of Magic. Although 'scientific' research of Chaos is quite advanced, there are still things to discover, specially about the heritage of the Ancient Races. The first Witchers have been created, but the project has been canceled by the Chapter and they are considered renegades. The magical civil war where Raffard the White died has already happened, and foundations have been established to start building a powerful sorcery guild that can establish relationships with the power spheres of the Continent.
Redania has ceded to the Chapter a building to create an elite sorcery school. The castle was inhabited for a long time by a monstrous creature, said to kidnap and devour young girls. Thanks to the intervention of arcane capable people, the creature was eliminated and the area cleansed. However, no proper citizen wants to live in a cursed place, or so the gossip goes. Thus, the king ceded the lands to the Chapter as thanks for their help and, inreturn, of course, some favors for the realm in the future.
Apprentices arrive from all over the Continent to what will become their new home...
